Great Host!
Nice and cosy accommodation, large room with garden and ocean view. What more could you wish for! A little bit cold at nights at the beginning but with the heater on for a couple of hours and the electric blankets, no discomfort felt at all. Breakfast was also good! Welcome, nice property, good night sleep, very good communication and info from the owner and a great offer for breakfast. Better and served personally for each guest. Everything was as displayed on the booking tool.
Great valueGuest House
Convenient position just off N2. Clean rooms. Comfortable patio area and swimming pool kept to high standard, great for a swim before breakfast. Breakfast was a delight with fresh fruit salad, joghurt, fresh muffins and then a choice of eggs and bacon with plenty of hot coffee available. Lady manager was friendly and gave us great tips for good restaurants in the area. Quiet area and parking available.
Very nice guest house
Very friendly host, nice and cute location, excellent service and breakfast, familyfriendly, we would definetly come back as we enjoyed our short stay a lot and felt very comfortable and welcome. Thanks for that!
Beautiful Guest House
This guest house and it’s location made our 2 night stop in Plett an incredible one. It’s perfectly located in terms of access to Pletts excursions and the local bars and restaurants are just a short 2 minute drive away. The breakfasts were lovely and the room extremely relaxing. We would 100% return to this guest house and also recommend to friends and family.
Great Holiday
We had a lovely stay in Plettenberg Bay at the Mandalay Guest House. Well located nearby the Main Street. Very friendly Staff. Great breakfast. Erika was very helpful to us. Bathroom of the Appartment a bit small . But otherwise a nice place.

Pleasant stay in a great guest house
The guest House is 10 walking minutes away from the main road and 5 more from the central beach. Very well located for trip to Monkey land or robberg nature reserve. Atmosphere is great and the breakfast is very good.
Most pleasant
What a lovely place, we just did an overnight stay, but wish we could have stayed longer so that we could have lolled on the loungers around the pool in the tranquil garden. Very clean and comfortable and a warm welcome..

Fabulous Guest House! Very Friendly Host. Wonderful clean/warm rooms. Great place to stay. Heater blanket on bed was Awesome for the chilly night we had. Stunning breakfast. Would definitely recommend!!
So cozy!
We stayed here for a night and loved it. The room is very nicely decorated and the bed is very confortable ( they even have a bed heater! ). Breakfast was really good, very varied, including different types of cereals, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, eggs, coffee, tea… The owner is really nice and welcoming and the lady that served our breakfast was very helpful giving us directions and suggestions on our trip. I wouldn’t look any further if I was to come back!
Beautiful hideaway
Clean, private, great proximity to everything wonderful in Plettenberg Bay. Erika was available for everything we needed and we had a great stay. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone traveling the Garden Route.

Great place to stay
We where very happy with the reception on arrival, condition of the rooms and over all appearance of the guest house. The breakfast was brilliant and was made with every effort to make it personal and to our individual taste. Edith the host was not in your face but there when you needed her. In conclusion we would not have an issue with referring this place to our friends and family. Great place to stay.
Fabulous place to stay
A truly lovely guest house, clean, modern room. Need a car/taxi to get to local amenities. Erika, the owner was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and provided gluten free bread though we had not requested this prior to booking. Fab breakfast and a glorious stay.
Lovely room, amazing service
We arrived in Plett without a car at 10pm and Erika was kind enough to collect us and show us to our room even though it was so late, even giving us a quick lay of the land and a map. The room was lovely and very comfortable, the guesthouse was close to town (a quick 15min walk to Main Road). All-in-all, I’d book here again.
Delightful Place
A charming small guest house, ideal for couples. We had a room on first floor with a pleasant balcony than ran the length of the house overlooking the garden. The swimming pool was pristine and the room was comfortable and spotless.
Breakfast is available if requested on check-in. However, we actually went into town and went to our favourite cafe.
Great stay
Booked for 8 nights with a little baby. Everything was fine. Just 5 minutes to drive to the beach and about 20 minutes to some attractions like monkey land. Erika was great, had a ton of information for us. Rooms were spacy,enough place For the baby cod. Only thing: we woke up too early, because the rooms were pretty bright in the morning and the baby woke up:)
Garden route stop over
What an amazing lady, Erica you made us so welcome it was a home from home experience. Facilities were of a very high standard. Most of all our breakfasts you personally cooked and presented was fantastic thank you. your loving caring nature was so appreciated. lots of love and blessing.
Perfect stay
The service was very good. The owner of the place was very kind and helpfull. The breakfast was also good. The room was nice and clean. The location of the place is also a plus. It’s pretty quite at night. Therefore we slept very well.
Mandalay was very accommodating during the matric festival in Plett
The rooms are very good quality and comfortable. The balcony upstairs is well sheltered from the sun and a great place to chill out. Altogether a very nice place to stay. The only problem I had was that our room was not cleaned regularly at all…
Short stay
Me and my family spend 2 nights family room. The owner was very helpful on arrival and gave us free map. Showed us the best places to visit in the area. We had breakfast in the morning and it was beautifully presented and very tasty. We enjoyed the pool as girls still young and don’t swim yet. Would highly recommend if you staying over in plettenberg bay. The Crags is about 20km away where u can see the elephant sanctuary, jukani wildlife sanctuary and monkey lands.

Rooms a nice size, very comfy beds, the host Erica is just fabulous, down side is no AC or blackout curtains.

Friendly staff, nice room, great for those on a budget, lots of lovely touches, chocolate on pillow and fresh flowers. Enjoyed our brief stay. A good base to explore the surrounding area. Plettenberg bay is a beautiful place
Perfect home away from home
We had the app with the private garden for 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect. Erika knows the area and all the things to do. The app was lovely and i liked the little details such as the flowers on the bed. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Oh yes! It was cold and the bed had a heater!!! Loved it!!
